Father Nick is Thankful for Everyone at St. Luke's

Dear St Luke’s,

Tomorrow night we will celebrate with the new ministry that has been growing between us! There will be a family-friendly reception at 5:00 in the grove, with the service at 6:00 and the big reception to follow. I sincerely hope you can make it.

Healthy ministry is mutually life-giving, and I feel as though my cup is running over. St Luke’s has a sprint that leaves me invigorated so that I  when I go for the day my head is often buzzing with the potential and vitality of our Church home. This is a unique gift. This past month planning for the Celebration of New Ministry began in earnest, and I am humbled to see all of the efforts that have gone into this event. I knew you’d want to celebrate with me, but I did not expect the tremendous outpouring of love and work I have seen.

I’m this moment of anticipation and humility seasoned with a bit of anxiety I wanted to offer my sincere thanks for all of the support I’ve received. I know that I have made my fair share of mistakes since I arrived in January of 2021, but your grace makes me feel as if they have been consigned to oblivion. I will strive to make things smoother year after year while still growing the church, but I know we will never arrive at perfection because the perfect ministry doesn’t exist. You have shown me time and time again that perfection is not the goal, but it gives each other hope, faith, joy, and life, and I certainly feel alive with you.

Thank you for allowing us to make St. Luke’s our home.

Blessings,

Nick
