Shrine Mont ANnual Retreat

Shrine Mont is provided by the Diocese of Virginia as a place apart for rest, devotion, fellowship and learning, where all may grow in the grace of God. It is set in the magnificent Shenandoah National Forest, about a two-hour drive from St. Luke’s. Everyone who goes to Shrine Mont falls in love with it. Children love the ponds, fields, and the nearby country store stocked with candy. Parents love the safe, traffic-free setting and three healthy all you can eat meals served daily. Everyone loves the rocking chairs on the porch, the shade of the mountain, the hiking trails and the peace and tranquility of the natural surroundings.
St. Luke’s has enjoyed a parish retreat to Shrine Mont for each of the past 25 years. Retreat activities are designed to help us enjoy the wonderful facilities of Shrine Mont and take advantage of the opportunity to rest, reflect and recreate. A typical retreat schedule includes activities like square dancing, a bon fire, hay rides, outdoor worship, and quiet time too.
